A nasty message from a used-to-be close friend. Very very close and trusted friend. Of course she denied it but how can she when I have the message still in my inbox with her number on it?

Gimik ko lang daw.

They broke my heart on my birthday last May. ‘They’ kasi dalawa sila. To be honest I do not know what happened or what triggered for both of them to get angry with me. On my birthday, I cried the whole day with a broken heart because I love them or so I loveD them.

Just last week, me and some friends with these two girls, we were at the private beach resort but treated each other as invisibles. Quite unbelievable for the three of us who were so inseparable before.

After confronting her about the nasty message, which I am contemplating of pushing it into court (it was really nasty I can sue her for it), she denied altogether saying she never knew about such text message. I do not care about the text per se. However, I am very hurt with all the words she texted me afterwards.

These were the friends I trusted so much. The friends I entrusted and asked for support and help when I was at my darkest moments after the personal tragedy I experienced a couple of years ago. Now, they hate me. I must have been a really bad person.

I asked them to answer my questions because I am as dumb as the three blind mice about what really made them so mad about me but all she could say is. “wala ka nang kaibigang babalikan.”

I know I am not a good person but I value and treasure my friends very much. I know I still have a couple of bestfriends left who love me for who I am. However I just can’t ignore what happened between the three of us because I love them. As far as I know, I really do not know why.

I do not want to go out of my bedroom because I do not want my family to see me crying.

Maybe in life, we really need to let go of some people we loved but will and could not be with us as we grow mature and live better-er lives just like Karlo. They were with me at my worst but they did not stay now that I am better.

My heart is so broken but I don’t feel alone.

My breakfast and lunch as I am aiming so hard to get slim… im crossing my fingers so hard until the bone breaks… that’s how desperate I am to get slim. I don’t exercise. I don’t go on a diet, so how would I get myself to lose weight? Shut up Honey.

I am trying promise.

I do not know it’s name I just cooked it and I like the taste. The sauce was made with mushroom (sauce) and some Italian seasoning. Oh well, I loved it.

The first game started with Mark Henry and Matt Hardy for WWE championship. The title was with Matt Hardy whom he won from Mark Henry himself too. Now, they battle over the belt again but luckily, Matt defended his title!

Next was a disappointing match between Beth Phoenix  and Candice Maureen. The stupid Santino (Beth Phoenix bf) cheated a little and Beth won which was also predictable as Candice was really peetite compare to the glamazon’s sturdy figure.

Then next was the disappointing disqualification or suspended fight between Kane (Undertaker’s younger brother) and Rey Mysterio . I like Kane but I wanted Rey Mysterio to win. The game ended with Rey Mysterio breaking his neck and was asked to be on a stretcher outside the ring. I do not really know what started the feud between them since they were always partners on tag teams. Wish they’ll be friends again on the ring (Coz I know everything’s scripted) coz I really like their team.

Then the winning battle of ‘The Animal” Batista  over JBL . I just love Batista when he smiles and his dimples show… The winner will be the contender for the heavyweight champion Chris Jericho. The game did not even last long as it was really easy for Batista to win.

Then there’s the deadly combat of Big Show  over Undertaker  which was another disappointing match. As both were really heavyweight (more than heavyweight I guess), it was really amazing how they try to kill each other hehehe… Damn that referee I want to disfigure him. One day, Undertaker will get his revenge to all of those ugly cheaters especially Vicky Guerrero  !

The match between Triple H  and Jeff Hardy (Matt’s brother)  was hard to decide which side to choose on since they were tag teams before… I like Jeff Hardy, not because he is very charming, but he is really a great player. However, he is prone to losing battles so I’d rather have Triple H defend the title bout. The fight was really amazing as both of them are great wrestlers. I could not predict who would win the battle. Though 72% of the US voted for Jeff to win and only 28% for Triple H. Triphe H even voted for himself since he knew Jeff would garner more votes. He had an i-phone… wow… So the fight ended with Triple H as the winner and Jeff shook hands as a sign of sportsmanship and even clapped for Triple H. It was a good show.

The main event was the ladder match between Chris Jericho  and the Heartbreaker Kid Shawn Michaels . Though me and my brother wanted HBK to win but my brother was right to predict the script will allow Chris Jericho to win since he also has issues with Batista who will challenge him soon for the heavyweight title. For history, HBK wanted to retire but had an argument on the ring with Chris Jericho. In the end, Jericho attempted to punch HBK but ended up punching the latter’s wife which made the woman’s lips swollen. This vowed HBK to deform Jericho permanently. As of now, HBK has not totally got his revenge to Jericho yet. This week WWE Raw, their first tag team match Chris and partner, HBK and Batista, the first pair won, of course by cheating. The second tag match was exciting as Chris and partner was paired with the DX(HBK and Triple H)! The game was disqualified but it ended with Triple H giving a pedigree to Chris’ partner and HBK jumping high from a ladder.

The ladder match was also exciting though disappointing as HBK has not fulfilled his revenge yet. But truthfully, Chris mouth kept on bleeding towards the whole fight because he lost one tooth, hehehee good for him though!

Meanwhile, on the sideline MVP  was tricked by the charming CM Punk  to battle over Cody Rhodes  tag team who ended up getting beaten by the three wrestlers. Randy Orton  insulted Rhodes tag team to be trying hard wrestlers who are not worthy of his time. Randy Orton won a title belt over CM Punk when Cody Rhodes team came up the ring and beat the hell out of CM a month ago.

I had the privilege to interview our gentle, soft-spoken and humble Parish Priest Fr. Rico for 10 minutes (or more I think so…) He is my first feature in this blog! Why? Basically because the best article I wrote in Ang Magsasangyaw (a local parish-based newsletter) a few years ago, which was also published in another Catholic publication, was inspired by one of his sermons and reflections.

How do you prepare for your sermons/homilies?

The preparations is I read the Gospel, the delivery is based from my own experience combined with reflection of the message of the Gospel . The preparation starts with prayers, reflection, meditation and contemplation and to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. I start with what struck me most and  develop or focus on one topic or issue for the reflection.

When was the last time you attended a mass where you were not the one officiating it?

Yes… and during my seminary years I attended mass when I am free like I have no mass schedules or I was the co-celebrant in the mass.

What was the foremost thing you missed doing since you’ve become a priest?

Being with my close friends and going out with them anytime because I spend my time now with my ministry.

What is your greatest fear?

My greatest fear is the fear of God, the holy fear. That’s how I view fear, not more with we are put into damnation because for me with God, we are all saved and it depends on each person on how he accepts His salvation. My fear is more about the consequences of my actions if I commit sins. If I commit sins, I must face the consequences.

Aside from your ministry, what keeps you busy?

I engaged into sports activities like tennis and basketball. I also spend most of my spare time with the other priests.

What is your greatest weakness?

For me, my weakness is my emotional struggles but my greatest is my own limitations in handling temptations. Also, I am a mediocre person, I can engage and involve in a lot of activities but I do not really excel in any aspect based on my own observation.

What is your greatest personal desire?

To be constant in my priestly life, to live a holy life. I may not acquire it perfectly but I am doing my best for it.

What makes you cry?

Loss of loved ones… the last time I cried was when there was a family issue like a misunderstanding within the family members…

Does people’s attention annoy or flatter you? Do people’s criticisms affect you or do you ignore them?

For me, criticisms are means to grow. Whether I like it or not, I cannot please everyone so I see it as my means to grow and develop.

(Did it ever occur for an instance that you got really pissed with a criticism?)

I am the type of person who is not sensitive with criticisms. For me, we cannot control how people is impressed by what we do, we cannot control what they have observed about me and they are entitled to it, so it is my way of evaluating myself too and make a room for improvement and growth.

When people give too much attention to me, I always remind myself, this is not because of my personality or achievements but because I am a priest, a servant of God. Humans as we are, we long for support from people around us, so I look at it in a positive way because their attention gives friendship , strength and encouragement to me.

Describe Fr. Rico in one word…

SIMPLE

(my life as a priest is to fulfill my purpose to serve God the best that I can.)

Then I realized, we do not need to be geniuses to excel in any aspects or of in any corners of the world, the humility, sincerity and love of life and the faith that we profess will excel us over the world!)

It was indeed very beautiful though they were not yet done developing it. I want to go back in there again however climbing up to the road is too torturous for me. I almost lost consciousness. Good thing Mrs. Rosa Amada Cainglet (kelangan full name?! hehehe) Te Claudette Clemente, Dondon and Te Tessie Interino were there to keep me counscious.

I collected a lot of beautiful pebbles from the seashore. I also had the chance to paddle on a small boaty with Yamyam and Janjan before swimming for more than 3 hours straight!
