Lightning

Lightning always strikes in different place and never two times in the same place.
True or False?
This old proverb can certainly be true in a metaphorical sense, but there is no need to take it literally. Lightning can and generally strikes more than once and this occurs in the same place. High constructions are particularly defenseless against multiple lightning strikes. The Empire State Building in New York City usually faces 25 strikes per year, and during one thunder storm the building was hit by lightning eight times and this chain of lightning happened just 24 minutes.

What can you do with 24 hours? You’d be surprised…
1. The Film Fest- Rent a series of movies you’ve always wanted to watch and view them all in one sitting. Don’t worry about what’s happening outside your door– except when the pizza guy rings the bell!
2. Get a Dose of Friendship- Catch up with friends at someone’s house. Chat till late, eat junk food, sleep in— no outside responsibilities allowed!
3. Water Therapy- Don’t have time or the budget for a pool membership? For a small fee, many hotels offer day passes to their saunas and pools.
4. Art and Soul- Spend hours in a local art gallery, nose to nose with the masters. Afterwards, visit an art supply store for materials and return home newly inspired!
5. Gourmet for a Day- Sign up for a cooking course, or if consuming is more your speed, map out a culinary pilgrimage through town, visiting favourites, must-tries or unknowns.
6. Go Back to School- for a single day, immerse yourself in the pursuit of a new skill completely unrelated to your daily life!

Car DVD Players

Car DVD players are widely spreading in the market. If you possess a family car and would like to remain the kids amused at the same time as you drive, car DVD player can be a grand gadget to hold in the car. It is very impressive for road trips.
Costs of a car DVD player are plummeting noticeably. Customers can nowadays provide a player at a reasonable cost.
However it would be foolishly unsafe to watch while you steer at the wheel so evidently it is not for someone individually the only one riding in your car.

1. Dishonesty- yourself or your partner.
2. Communication- always ending up in an argument.
3. Putting the other on a pedestal and putting yourself down.
4. Destructive impulses.
5. Compromise at your own risk.
6. Feeling enclosed or shutting yourself off from other friends.
7. Fear of losing the other person with everything you do.
Wake up call
Lie: You think by giving more and accepting less, you are the bigger person.
Truth: You do not have to give up who you are or what you enjoy. Why please someone else at your own expense?
***
Lie: You think that by working at it, the other person will change.
Truth: You’re only one part of the relationship. If the other person doesn’t change, it won’t work.
***
Lie: You think by not telling your friends, you are protecting them from an uneasy truth that they don’t need to know.
Truth: You’re just protecting yourself from judgment and your partner from what you both are not proud of.

What is SAT?

The SAT Reasoning Test (formerly Scholastic Aptitude Test and Scholastic Assessment Test) is a standardized test for college admissions in the United States.
The College Board mantains that the SAT evaluates literacy, numeracy, and writing skills that are required for academic success in college. They asserts that the SAT measures how suitably the test takers examine and solve problems—skills they learned in school that they will need in college. The SAT is in general taken by high school juniors and seniors.[3] In particular, the College Board affirms that use of the SAT in arrangement with high school grade point average (GPA) presents an improved pointer of achievement in college than high school grades only, as determined by college freshman GPA. Various studies carried out over the period of the SAT demonstrate a statistically substantial increase in correlation of high school grades and freshman grades when the SAT is featured in.[4]
SAT consists of three major sections: Critical Reading, Mathematics, and Writing. Each section receives a score on the scale of 200–800. All scores are multiples of 10. Total scores are computed by adding up scores of the three sections. Each major section is divided into three parts.

Anti-Ageing Exercise

REGULAR RUNNING- may help prevent disability and early death from cancer, neuroligical disease, or infections, according to Stanford University School of Medicine. Researchers tracked 1000 runners and non-runners over age 50. After 19 years, 34 percent of non-runners had died, but only 15 percent of the runners had.
What you need to know:
Warm up and warm down: Even if you’re just going for a gentle run, warm up first to achieve a certain level of joint mobility and to avoid injuries. Warming down will also help cut down on stiffness.
Run tall and breathe deeply: Try to get in the habit of running with a straight back to minimise pressure on your diaphragm. Take a deep breath, lift your whole upper body and then hold that position as you run.
Running time: Only run for as long as you can do so in the correct style. As soon as your form gets sloppy, pack in for another day.
HOW TO BE GOOD WITH MONEY

Hope these tips would help us to be sensible with money in these times.
1. Find out if your books balance. Get out all your bank statements and work out how much you’ve earned- include benefits and interest on savings- and how much you’ve spent over the past year.
2. Bank online and check your balance twice a week. I checked my time and savings deposits and credit card online in BPI. This will give you a clear idea of what’s going in and coming out.
3. Junk useless direct debits. Don’t just go on paying for that life cover you don’t need. I think they’re describing unnecessary insurances.
4. Build up a rainy-day fund. Set up a monthly direct debit to put money aside in a high interest account. It pays to wait for something monthly more than your salary.
5. Organize all your payments. Have your direct debits going out just after your salary. The rest is yours- to transfer into a savings account paying better rate of interest than your current account. Transfer back as and when you need extra cash. The BPI online works well on this.
6. Buy now, pay at once. If you can’t afford something one month, wait until the next month. I’m learning this slowly and painfully
7. Use your credit card sparingly. Pull out the plastic when you absolutely have to have that half-price dress in the sales. But always pay it off before it incurs any interest. I used to pay 40k a month for my credit cards but for more than a month now, I haven’t used any of them and hope to do these for a long time. Again I am learning this slowly and painfully.
8. Always shop around when contracts like your internet and mobile phone service provider- come up for renewal. Don’t forget to ring your existing provider to see if it can offer something better.
9. Buy treats with reward points schemes. Use all those points you’ve accumulated on your various cards to give yourself a treat. Spoil yourself- after all, you deserve it.

On getting a Loan

What is a loan?
It is an arrangement in which a lender gives money or property to a borrower, and the borrower agrees to return the property or repay the money, usually along with interest, at some future point(s) in time. Usually, there is a predetermined time for repaying a loan, and generally the lender has to bear the risk that the borrower may not repay a loan (though modern capital markets have developed many ways of managing this risk).
What are the different kinds of loans?
asset conversion loan – A short-term loan whose primary repayment source is the conversion of an asset, such as inventory or a receivable.
balloon loan – A long-term loan, often a mortgage, that has one large payment (the balloon payment) due upon maturity. A balloon loan will often have the advantage of very low interest payments, thus requiring very little capital outlay during the life of the loan. Since most of the repayment is deferred until the end of the payment period, the borrower has substantial flexibility to utilize the available capital during the life of the loan. The major problem with such a loan is that the borrower needs to be self-disciplined in preparing for the large single payment, since interim payments are not being made. Balloon loans are often undertaken when refinancing or when a major cash flow event is anticipated. also called balloon note or bullet loan.
bank term loan – A bank loan to a company, with a fixed maturity and often featuring amortization of principal. If this loan is in the form of a line of credit, the funds are drawn down shortly after the agreement is signed. Otherwise, the borrower usually uses the funds from the loan soon after they become available. Bank term loans are very a common kind of lending.
