I am feeling wet

I was surprised when my French student gave this answer as part of the practice for present continuous tense exercises.
The student should construct sentences based on present situations and one of them is what is he feeling right now.
I asked him to reconstruct and explain his sentence. He meant he is perspiring due to a hot weather.
